How can I export my data?

Get a Group’s membership list, including names and email addresses

  1. In the Groups sidebar, click on the group name to select the group.
  2. Click the More link in the bottom line of the selected group box to open the group options menu.
  3. Choose the “Manage Group Members” option from the menu to see the list of group members’ names and email addresses.
  4. Select the text of the list and copy it.
  5. Paste the list into a file and save it. The file might a plain text file or a spreadsheet.  From there you can transfer the names and addresses into any other program where you’ll find them useful, such as email contacts in your mail reader.

Export all calendar events

  1. From the Feed page, click the Calendar tab.
  2. Click the down arrow icon on the right end of the calendar control bar at the tab of the Calendar page to open the calendar menu.
  3. Choose the “Export Calendar” option from the menu to open the “Subscribe to this calendar” dialog box.
  4. Copy the URL in the “All your events” text box.
  5. Open a new tab in your browser, paste in the URL, and press enter to download a .ics file in iCalendar format containing all your Wiggio events, suitable for import into your favorite calendar program.

Export only calendar events from a particular group

  1. From the Feed page, click the Calendar tab.
  2. In the Groups sidebar, click on the group name to select the group.
  3. Click the down arrow icon on the right end of the calendar control bar at the tab of the Calendar page to open the calendar menu.
  4. Choose the “Export Calendar” option from the menu to open the “Subscribe to this calendar” dialog box.
  5. Copy the URL in the “This group’s events” text box.
  6. Open a new tab in your browser, paste in the URL, and press enter to download a .ics file in iCalendar format containing all your Wiggio events, suitable for import into your favorite calendar program.

Download a zip archive of multiple files and folders

  1. From the Feed page, click the Folder tab.
  2. As necessary, choose a group from the Groups sidebar and navigate to the folder where the files you’re interested in are stored.
  3. Using the checkboxes in the left column of the file list, select the files and folders you want to download. For your convenience, there is a “Select all” checkbox above the file list for easy selection of everything in the list.
  4. Click the “Download” button above the file list to create and download a .zip archive containing the selected items.
  5. If there are any items that do not have checkboxes next to them, it mean that you do not have access to bulk-download them. Only a file’s creator or an admin of the group may bulk download those items.  You should still be able to download them individually; see the next section for instructions.

Download individual files

  1. From the Feed page, click the Folder tab.
  2. As necessary, choose a group from the Groups sidebar and navigate to the folder where the file you’re interested in is stored.
  3. Using the checkboxes in the left column of the file list, select the file you want to download.
  4. Click the gear-shaped icon on the right side of the item’s entry in the list and choose the “Download” option.

Get to-do lists

  1. From the Feed page, click the “All Content” link at the top of the feed to open the content type filter menu.
  2. Choose the “To-Do Lists” option from the menu.
  3. In the filtered feed results, find the post for the to-do list you’re interested in.
  4. Click the “View or maintain” link in the body of the post.
  5. Select the text of the page from the title of the to-do list to the bottom of the list.
  6. Copy the selected text, paste it into a text file or other document, and save it.

Get polls

  1. From the Feed page, click the “All Content” link at the top of the feed to open the content type filter menu.
  2. Choose the “Polls” option from the menu.
  3. In the filtered feed results, find the post for the to-do list you’re interested in.
  4. Click the “Take poll” or “View results” link in the body of the post.
  5. Select the text of the page from the title of the poll to the bottom of the poll.
  6. Copy the selected text, paste it into a text file or other document, and save it with an informative name.

Get discussions

  1. From the Feed page, locate the discussion you’d like to save. If it’s helpful, use the search box at the top right of the feed.
  2. If the discussion is long, it may appear with only the first post and the last two posts visible. If this happens, click the “Show # more replies” link to expand the discussion to show all the posts.
  3. Select the text of the discussion from the top of the first post down to the bottom of the last post.
  4. Copy the selected text, paste it into a text file or other document, and save it with an informative name.
